Hit 'OK'. Once the modems connect, the message 'Verifying user name and password' will appear. If everything has been setup correctly and your login name and password have been entered correctly, the screen will turn into a status window with the connection speed and a time counter on it on newer versions of Win95, the status window is automatically minimized - your connection to the Internet is up and working!

You may now minimize the status window and start one of your Internet applications such as Netscape Navigator or the Microsoft Internet Explorer. Regarding the Internet Explorer, IE, most Win95 installations have an icon on the desktop that looks like a globe and reads 'Internet' or 'Internet Explorer' beneath it.
